Offshore Crew

Kona Blue wants to hear from talented and experienced people interested in joining our Offshore Crew. We periodically have openings for commercially trained divers, and boat operators (offshore technicians).

Divers:
The Offshore Crew is responsible for deployment, maintenance and operation of the offshore farm, including fish, boats, cages, and mooring grid. Regular duties involve monitoring fish health, maintaining and cleaning cages, and harvesting the fish.

Applicants should be physically fit, and eager to work outdoors, on and in the water. Applicants must be ADCI-certified, SCUBA qualified, and have a high degree of water confidence. Desirable skills include experience in handling work boats, mechanical or construction skills, and the ability to operate heavy machinery (cranes, Gradall).

Offshore Technicians:
Offshore Technicians are responsible for feeding the fish from our main feed vessel and smaller support vessels. Regular duties include upkeep of the boats and feeding equipment, loading feed, and assisting in harvesting operations.

Applicants must have experience handling vessels up to 75 feet in length (CG license preferred), be physically fit and eager to work outdoors and on the water. Mechanical ability and experience operating heavy machinery (cranes, Gradall) are desirable.

It is essential that all applicants be willing to work as part of a tightly integrated team, and be creative and resourceful in finding innovative solutions to new challenges.

Starting salaries range from $35,000 to $50,000, depending on qualifications, skill set and experience.
